These outages are due to scheduled maintenance work aimed at improving power supply and service quality.
According to a notice released by ECG's Tema Regional Office on Monday, July 21, 2025, the maintenance will occur between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. in the following areas: Afariwaa Junction, Sanco 4, Yellow Signboard, Michel Camp Gate, Kakasunaka #1, Gbetsile, Soldier Line, Vienna City, Community 9, and nearby locations.
The statement emphasized that the planned work is necessary to enhance electricity service, and ECG apologized for any inconvenience it may cause.
In the Volta Region, similar maintenance will happen from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., affecting Tokokoe, Tanyigbe, the 66 Artillery Training Center, and surrounding areas.
Additionally, the Greater Accra Regional Office confirmed that it will also carry out maintenance on the same day, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Power interruptions are expected in areas such as Soul Clinic Junction, Rawlings Circle, Akosombo, Madina, Odorkor, Awoshie, Gbawe, and Tunga Down.
